How do we prove something?
A link to a very interesting blog called Cosmic Variance, which discusses the issue of proof.
Read it, we can discuss it in Tuesday's meetings.

New Planet!
An new planet has been discovered around a red dwarf star. It is bigger than the earth, but not by too much.
Now, hundreds of planets have been found outside the solar system, what's the big fuzz about this one?
Well, this one can have oceans. Why? Because it has a temperature that can be anywhere between 0 and 40 ºC, and a rocky surface, since it is not a gas giant (as are the ones found already).
The planet takes 13 days to orbit around its sun, that a very short year indeed! There are two other planets in the system.
So expect to hear a lot more about this newfound home!
